New Heights.
Nepal, 2022.
Unexpectedly discovering new things by luck is called serendipity.
I had the good fortune to experience this on my journey to Nepal.
An elusive land due to its unfathomable heights, an authentic and rich culture and intrinsically friendly inhabitants make this country a true heaven for adventurers.
The following works are made on a three week hike to Everest Base Camp. Starting from the jungle farmlands at 2000m ASL going all the way up to EBC and Khala Patthar Summit at 5644m was quite the challenge. Followed by crossing two steep ridges in snow on the Three Passes Circuit, we closed the full loop in Sagarmatha National Park. The Himalayas never disappoint. Utmost respect for sherpa and Nepali culture.

End of the world. Everything you see is carried up by hand, yak or donkey. No roads, no buildings, no provisions. Only few things can survive up here. All is possible only because of the sherpa's. Everest Base Camp, 5364m ASL, Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal.
Legends of the mountain. These creatures live only at high altitude. They don't moan about the weather. Just carry on. Zonglha, Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal.
